12 digit Product codes

if you are trying to list a product for the first time on Amazon and need its unique product code how do you know what that code is? You buy it from the brand's official distributor. The is NOT currently listed on Amazon. I do not believe the supplier would include the code in the package for you, would they? If they do not as is the case for some clothes I just purchased, how do you find out what those unique codes are is so that you can list it for the first time on Amazon. This would be a reputable brand that you know for sure would have UPCs for all its items, e.g. Nike, or Express clothing.

i received my merchandise with a bunch of codes on the tag, but upon entering the code that looked like it could be a UPC (had 12 digits) the Add a Product page says its not a valid code. how do I find out the correct product codes?

Stop-do you have authorization from this brand? Not the distributor or supplier, the brand?

Do you have invoices and not receipts?

It's probably their IN_STORE codes.

Funny there was just a post about someone trying to get un-suspended for selling Nike, but the forum search won't let me search for the word "NIKE"

YOu really want to source your items from the manufacturer or authorized distributor.

Buying from store & re-selling on Amazon is a risky business model.
