Can we delete a variant family and start over with same SKU's and UPC's?

Hello, we are looking to add a new product to our catalog, but we may have set it up incorrectly. This is a door lever, with 1 side and 2 side options. We have UPC codes for both. We set it up incorrectly with the 1 side option as the parent and left the Dangerous Goods Regulations as "other" instead of "Not-Applicable". The listing is not posting and we have now been disapproved because this product was deemed to have a pesticide when it does not. We want to start over and add the product correctly, can we just delete the variant family listing and start over with the same SKU's and UPC codes or will Amazon consider these as part of the incorrect listing? We understand that we should have set it up with the parent SKU as the general listing with the 2 lever options as 2 variants.

Any help with this would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hi there @Seller_G8SwOKeV38bb2,

Variation Parents are only placeholders that build the variation around them and as such generally don't function like standard products. However you should be able to rebuild the variation using the same SKUs and UPCs for the children (they can't and shouldn't be changed generally) and should be able to create with a new Variation parent that is a new SKU. I recommend using the Variation Wizard to build your variation.

If you get stuck somewhere please provide your most recent Seller Support case ID and I will review further. Thank you for your understanding.
