Why did Amazon refund this package? (Not RFS)
This is a new one for me. I just received a package back that the buyer took months to send back. Upon checking, I see that Amazon refunded this buyer in full right after midnight this morning, about 14 hours before the package was delivered to me. Looking at the return, I see that it shows it was a Standard Refund, not Refund First Scan (over the $100 threshold), and the returned has been closed since April 15th. I find that I can put in a SAFE-T claim for it, so Amazon does seem to acknowledge that they are who did the refund, but I don't understand why they would refund a return before it is even delivered back to me that the buyer took months to even send back and was a closed return (closed due to how long the buyer took to send it back)? Any ideas on this one? I'm wondering if the buyer contacted Amazon about the refund and they processed it without contacting me about it? I an not signed up for Customer Service By Amazon, and there is no A-Z Claim on this.

Tiff here from Amazon. Have there been additional updates on your SAFE-T claim since you last posted this topic? Did you open a support case to inquire about any specifics on this order and return/refund?
