Letter of Authorization for Point of Contact from Beneficial Owner

Hello,

I am being asked for a LOA from the beneficial owner approving the point of contact who is not a beneficial owner, as part of the business verification program being called out on my Account Health Page.

I have seen example letter for the Self Attestation document, but where can I find a similar example Letter of Authorization for the purpose of this request (ie NOT for brand or license, rather for approval of point of contact on the account)

Looking forward to your reply so I can format the document correctly.

Thanks!

Scope of Authority:

The LOA should clearly outline the specific tasks or actions the designated point of contact is authorized to perform. This could include things like communicating with regulatory bodies, attending meetings, or providing information as needed.

It should explicitly state that the point of contact is acting as a representative of the beneficial owner and that the beneficial owner is giving their consent for this representation.

The LOA should comply with any relevant legal or regulatory requirements, such as those outlined in the CTA.

Here's a sample LOA:

[Beneficial Owner's Business Name]

[Address]

[City, State, Zip Code]

[Phone Number]

[Email Address]

[Date]

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter serves as authorization for [Point of Contact's Name] to act as the point of contact for [Beneficial Owner's Business Name] in matters of [Specify the scope of authority, e.g., communication, reporting, etc.].

Specifically, [Point of Contact's Name] is authorized to [List specific tasks or responsibilities, e.g., receive communications on behalf of the company, answer questions related to [specific topic], etc.].

[Beneficial Owner's Name] (Beneficial Owner) confirms that [Point of Contact's Name] is authorized to act as the company's point of contact for the purposes outlined above.

This authorization is valid until [Expiration Date, if applicable] and may be revoked at any time by written notice.

Sincerely,

[Beneficial Owner's Name]

Hello,

The example looks good but I was hoping to get an official example from Amazon, as they provided for the Self-Attestation - just to be sure there isn't anything specific required that could have my verification denied.

Thanks

Letters of Authorizations, the trick request by Amazon.

Did you notice that Amazon always asks for a manufacturer’s invoice first, then asks for/or a letter of authorization? Amazon knows how businesses operate.

If you have a commercial retailers account with a manufacturer, your invoice as described above will suffice. You will not need a Letter of Authorization because the invoice says it all. If you really need one, your manufacturer Rep handling your account could get one for you.

If you do not actually have a commercial account with the manufacturer, Amazon knows companies will not give any letter of authorization to individuals without a commercial account.

Hi @Seller_qLKmCJeoD01uK,

have you seen the template in the "What does Amazon Seller Wallet expect to receive as a letter of authorization for the point of contact?" section at Seller Wallet registration general FAQ?

Best regards, Michael
