Having Issues with Approval to Sell

Hello,

I am new and trying to sell my first product on Amazon and facing A LOT of issues.

At this point, I bought my GS1 UPC number, created my listing, posted my photos, ordered my first shipment and was trying to get shipment details when the red hardstop "Your product requires approval to sell" shows up. I see the limitation is "You need approval to list in this brand" when I go to the Apply to Sell section. On the next page, it says "To list '(insert the ASIN # they gave me)', you need to request approval for: 1. HJZWTS 2. HJZWTS branded". I am trying to sell under the name The White Rose which I got approved for in an earlier step (not trademarked). I have never heard of HJZWTS nor do I see it anywhere on Amazon or Google. I have tried to submit the necessary documents and explained my situation only to be met with the same automated messages offering no explanations. Now I cannot click "Apply to Sell". I am not selling in a restricted category that I know requires approval.

My question is: Since I bought my UPC number, how come I am given an ASIN that seems to be under someone else's brand? I am very confused and I believe they are making a mistake. I'm not sure where I went wrong in this process. What do I need to do?? Help please!!! I appreciate it.

"My question is: Since I bought my UPC number, how come I am given an ASIN that seems to be under someone else's brand?"

First, the ASIN number is simply amazon's personal SKU for the product and product page. Sellers have no control over it.

If Amazon sends you to that page, Amazon feels the actual product being sold is one in the same. Amazon will not let a seller create their own page for a product that is already live on the site.

Now with that said, if you have purchased a UPC for the product and want to make it your own, this is what has to be done.

1. be approved to sell your Brand Name

2. be approved to sell in the proper category

3. be approved to sell the product

Your product should have your brand name permanently affixed to it and pass all COC' testing required.

When adding a Listing, add your brand as N/A or Generic.

Then put The White Rose as Manufacturer.

If you are able to list the Brand as N/A, The White Rose will show on the Listing as the Brand.

If you have to list as Generic that is what will be the brand in your listing.

To actually List the brand as "The White Rose" there are many more hoops to jump through.
