Denied brand Registry with valid Trademark

We were recently denied Brand Registry because "there are too many similar brand names and it might confuse customers". To be clear the brand name is "Ranger" and we're in the the lawn and garden sector for now. We have a valid trademark approved by the USPTO with an active number.

I have a few issues with this decision because there aren't any other brands in that space with a trademark with that brand name. We also own the trademark to sell a number of products under that brand.

Since denying our BR application Amazon decided to link an automotive brand storefront to our listing that has no affiliation with our brand or our product. They are doing the vary thing that they said they wanted to avoid - confusing customers.

I've been working with Seller Central since 2016 - before Brand Registry even existed, and I have to say none of this makes sense and it's extremely frustrating.

Hello @Seller_FOvQbImx5iOnV,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and will be happy to assist wherever I can.

I cannot overturn a decision by the Brand Registry enrollment team, but I can certainly review your application and maybe provide some additional context. If you want me to review, please provide the application case ID.

As for a brand name change on a listing, I can help with fixing that, but I will need more info. Do you have a case ID informing Seller Support that the brand name was changed? If so, please provide that here and I can grab the ASIN and all the other relevant info from the case. If you have not yet opened a case, please do that first and then let me know what that case ID is and I will have a look.

Best, Dougal
