New Brand

Hello, I am EXTREMELY confused with the Amazon Brand Registry process.

I have an active seller account, and I have just filed for my brand Trademark with the USPTO, and I have all necessary information on that end.

However, when I go to register my brand, it requires that I give product information; ASINs, product images, etc, etc.

How is this even possible? I don't have any products yet, I need the Brand registered, so I can create the ASINs, and only then will I order the products.

OP: "I have an active seller account, and I have just filed for my brand Trademark with the USPTO, and I have all necessary information on that end."

And don't forget, photos of your brand name on the branded product, Photos of the packaging, GS1 UPC's for each product your brand sells, and all COC's that may be necessary to sell in the USA.

OP: "How is this even possible?"

Amazon simply wants to make sure your brand exists in the real world before you come to the site to offer it for sale. No different that Sony, LG, or Kellogg's.

Hello @Seller_aoDirQ7sLOONS

My name is Sandy from the Community Manager team.

Amazon Brand Registry asks for product images to make sure the products accurately represents what you have on your trademark. My recommendation is to get the products ready before applying to Brand Registry.

ASINs should be optional for sellers that already have products under their brand name which they applied for brand name approval. You can check the Brand Registry Application Guide for more information.

Best,

Sandy
