Ordered by mistake Or product not needed

Hi,

We are facing almost 20% ratio of orders are getting cancelled due to ridiculous reasons. some costumer are placing order just for fun.
we are agree if product is faulty and damaged in transport then it should be replaced, but such reasons are not good for amazon as well as seller point of view. we are facing transportation cost and amazon is facing extra traffic for it’s logistics department.
So for this we want that we replace all faulty product with in given SLA by amazon but such returns should be stopped. more over it amazon should stop refund orders and start replacement of order in any issue. 90% problem will be resolve.

I completely agree with this. But Amazon policies are always buyer centric and not seller centric. Unfortunately, thats bad part of selling on Amazon.

Couple of points we need to understand about consumers

  1. Seems shopping online is a videogame/fun for them…just order and return as no money is at risk
  2. You need part of a product, and not available anywhere offline/online…just order online…take out the required part from the product…return it…get full refund…however the product is worthless due to missing parts…since a part is missing Amazon doesn’t refund the whole money of the products. The safe-T claim refunded in these types of cases is mere peanuts
  3. Order a product…product is shipped and then reject while or before receiving ….entire cost goes waste for the seller
  4. These days we are also getting orders which says undeliverable address
  5. Order a product, return with any dropdown reason…I needed bigger/different size…but customer never orders again if he really needs a different size

Amazon should look into these aspects as eventually all this cost is getting added to the product/seller…and in the long run its a loss for seller as well as Amazon

Totally agree why should we pay the the shipping charges for these kind of orders. Amazon should work on this as fkart did not charge any amount on this. Please amazon look into this matter

There is another method which Amazon can do is to have buyers’ rating also - for example - how many orders the user generally cancels or return in their last XX days. At least customers which are simply returning more than 40-50% of orders can be avoided,

buyer always cancels the order an returns just for fun. and gives reason that product not required or ordered by mistake. But sellers have to face a huge loss just for this small matter. please help sellers @Changeusername

absolutely right we can see there is no any genuine reasons of the buyers and they returned it.
even i have done some of the MOQ and buyers returned it by saying that he/she order one piece and got extra then what is the mistake of seller it should be on the buyer they have to see the quantity and cart first before payment.

Yes, sir. I agree and amazon should make some policies towards the seller’s side and their viewpoint.
At least customers should know that if they are returning for any reason (or no reason at all), sellers are facing shipping & other charges. It’s a loss for sellers. At least they will think twice before returning/ordering a product from next time.

Agreed. even after giving full details of the dimensions in the product diescription, the customer returns saying “defective/ too small” what is the point of giving details when customers dont even read the description?

we have had a case wherein a customer kept ordering out products and returning it/rejecting it. on raising the particular customer as fake customer with @Changeusername, we get a standard response from amazon after > 1 month of complaint that they havent found anything wrong with the customer!!!
