Amazon deliberately punishing 3rd party sellers?

15 Years selling on Amazon and It appears that we have gone from "Partner to Foe": in the last several years.

We own our brand and products and have no other sellers. Historically we offer better pricing on Amazon, yet because we have our own warehouse and fulfillment it appears we are being targeted for failure.

1. Lifetime ratings are no longer visible, only your past year shows

2. False A-Z Claims get no acknowledgement or relief from Amazon. A recent case using Averitt Freight delivery with a Photo POD proof delivered to the customers front door was charged ($1000) against us and the claim was used to punish us for 60 days during the holiday selling season, i.e. NO Buy Boxes= no sales. 111-8884341-4047468 Case ID 16921602691

3. No finally our account is back in perfect health and yet still only 4% of Buy Boxes. Seller support says they cannot discuss the details? Why, do they want us to move on and go away? No Support, No explanation.

I cant advertise if I don't have the buy box. No one else sells our Branded items. How do you go from "Amazons Choice" a few months ago to falling into the in the Amazon abyss.

Can a Mod look at our case?

Can a Mod look at our case?

Do you mean customer reviews? Is it across all ASINs? That's the first I've heard of something like this.

I don't get it. It's your own branded products, right? And you said there are no other sellers? Who else is winning the buy box if it's not you? Or is the buy box disabled?

You are absolutely correct, Amazon is moving away from 3P sellers. As a seller of many brands, we too are seeing serious incompetence and aggressive behavior from Amazon. If you look amongst the many other posts you will find this trend. They used 3P to build Amazon.com and now have all the suppliers and resources available to them so they are no longer in need of the middle man (3P sellers). Use and abuse is the Amazon corporate motto.

They are under investigation from the federal government and I only hope that the new administration sees it through as Amazon has ultimately broken many laws and have stolen from many hardworking Americans and continue to do so on a regular basis. J Bozos designed a very unique scam, the largest seen in modern day history.

Had my first A-Z filed not to my fault (had "customer" file 3 return requests under the same order ID) When the first two Amazon CS told her that she would not get her return shipping $ back, took it upon themself to file another return where the reason code changed to "missing accessories" and auto refunded return $ instantly by filing A-Z. I even had no chance to file appeal because they told me "I refunded the customer first" hahahahaha Last 6 days ghosts, nothing. No buy box no sales nothing. These people are *************** (enter your favorite word). Imagine going out and introducing yourself as someone who works for Amazon, has a nice slimy ring to it....

I see your point. You are not winning the buybox here even though you have better delivery time, lower price and better seller lifetime rating.

No, I think he probably means seller feedback.

Amazon is constantly adjusting how it is displayed. They may follow a system, but I don't know what it is.

I picked a random detail page and I see about half-and-half "over lifetime" and "over last 12 months." @Seller_tEoEoiblBauVt

We're having similar problems with the A-Z claims department ignoring us, which has cost us thousands of dollars. It's time to seek litigation.

For the past 20 years we have sold used and out-of-print books on Amazon, and I cannot count the number (probably in the thousands) of items for which we have the only copy of a particular book on offer and, as such, also the lowest price. But these books do not get the Buy Box. Can anyone offer and explanation?

For something as central to the success of a business selling on Amazon, the repeated retort when asked of "We cannot discuss the Buy Box" seems very strange indeed. WHY can the Buy Box not be discussed or explained?? Could it be that the algorithm is so complicated that even Amazon doesn't understand it?
