Account Deactivated using the same CC on Japan as my US Marketplace

I have a US Marketplace account, and at some point last year, I expanded it to other marketplaces like Japan, Germany, Brazil, etc. I used the same name, address, and debit card for all of them. However, I never made any sales in the other marketplaces and zeroed out the inventory in those marketplaces. Today, I received a notice from Amazon stating that I have multiple accounts. I initially thought it was a mistake since I log into all the marketplaces under one profile.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that my Japan Marketplace account had been deactivated for about a week, and they were asking me to update my debit card. This morning, I resubmitted the same debit card that was already in place (the same one used for the US Marketplace), as nothing had changed.

Amazon Japan accepted the information but is now requesting that I verify my identity. This requires setting up a virtual meeting to submit my business info. I contacted US Amazon Seller Support, asking if they could delete all the other marketplaces since I only need the US Marketplace, but they told me I have to get the Japan Marketplace in good standing first. I had to select a meeting time for next week to submit information that is already validated on the US Amazon Marketplace.

None of this makes sense, and it feels illogical. Has anyone else experienced this?

"I used the same name, address, and debit card for all of them."

You just gave the solution to your problem!

This is my standard credit card template so use what applies!

Amazon is weird on so many levels and this seems to work at least sometimes!

First, be sure it is an actual CREDIT Card. While Amazon claims that a Debit Card will work, that is seldom true! They WILL charge a Debit Card for initial fees but they will NOT take it on continuing basis most of the time despite their claims!

Put the card number into your BUYER side account first. Wait an hour (sometimes less) for the gerbils to work their way through the system and then put it in the SELLER side.

There was one recent response from a seller on a post that they DELETED the card that was on the buyer side and put the SAME card back in after a little bit and it fixed the problem. Amazon is a maze of broken links in their antiquated software.

Here are a couple threads where an OP says it worked.
