New Seller here, Question about SafeTClaims

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have experience with Amazon's SafeTClaims? I have so many questions

#1-Does amazon cover lost packages, or is it a 3rd party?

#2- If you forget to input the "declared value" does this mean you are not insured/covered by the safeTclaim?

#3- You overall satisfaction with a SafeTclaim or any advice regarding them?

Thank you to anyone who responds

Hello @Seller_may35leTesnr9

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

Welcome to our community.

  1. Amazon's SAFE T Claims is a third-party insurance program designed for Amazon sellers. It's not directly provided by Amazon, but rather by a separate insurance company that works with Amazon sellers. Amazon itself has its own policies for covering lost packages, but SAFE T Claims is an additional insurance option for sellers.
  2. Regarding the "declared value," it's generally important to accurately declare the value of your items when using shipping insurance. If you forget to input the declared value, it could potentially affect your coverage. However, the exact implications would depend on the specific terms of the SAFE T Claims policy. It's best to check the policy details or contact SAFE T Claims directly for the most accurate information.
  3. As for overall satisfaction and advice, I don't have personal experience with the service, and individual experiences can vary. However, here's some general advice:
  • Read the policy of terms carefully to understand what is and isn't covered.
  • Keep detailed records of your shipments and any issues that arise.
  • If you're shipping high-value items, make sure you understand how to properly declare their value.
  • Don't hesitate to ask questions directly to the SAFE T Claims support team if anything is unclear.
  • Compare the cost and coverage with other shipping insurance options to ensure it's the best fit for your business.

I would recommend you to read the link below to get more information

Hope you have a great day!
