How to close an Amazon Seller account (individual)

My account to sell my second-hand books (individual account) has been inactive for over a year due to the credit card details expiring. I updated the details but it has remained inactive. As I am still getting requests from buyers to buy my books and I am unable to log-in how can I ask Amazon to close and delete the account completely?

You cannot close a deactivated account - you would need to reactivate it, presumably with a CC that is active, but you will need to go through the whole verification process before that, and then close the account properly. You say 'individual account' ? - were you just selling off your own personal second-hand books ? - if so that is fine, but If not and you were actually buying books to sell on for profit then you should have had a BUSINESS seller account, and be registered with HMRC as self-employed.
