Account Deactivated for "Inauthentic Products"

Hi All -

My newish account (~6 months old) was deactivated because amazon deemed one of my products as inauthentic. I submitted invoices from my supplier and his supplier but both appeals were rejected. I am unsure what else I can provide at this point as I have no other documentation to submit. I also submitted an appeal with a "gameplan" on what I did wrong and how I will fix my internal processes and procedures going forward. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do next? I am considering hiring a consultant to help me draft a better appeal but that is my last resort (if anyone has good referrals please let me know).

Additionally, I am trying to get this inventory back to receive a refund from my supplier, does anyone know if this is possible to do while deactivated? If I don't obtain this inventory before being reactivated will Amazon destroy/seize the inauthentic inventory?

Thanks all!

I don't do FBA, but my understanding is that Amazon will not send you back any inventory they have deemed as counterfeit and they will destroy it and charge you the cost of the destruction. Unfortunately if you can't prove to them that the inventory is not counterfeit with an invoice from the manufacturer or an authorized distributor, unfortunately I don't think there is anything you can do. An authorization letter from the manufacturer stating that you have authorization to sell their products on Amazon would also be helpful.

In addition to the advice from TNValleyProducts, I will add that -- if Amazon has declared the inventory "counterfeit" (this is by Amazon's definition) -- then not only will you have to pay for disposal, but you will not receive any funds from sales.

Hi @Seller_4P5sQRfbgEVyc,

Steve from Amazon here. Thank you for posting in the Forums, I know that this situation can be frustrating. In this situation, the path forward is to appeal this decision and submit proper invoices for the impacted ASINs. The team will review the invoices and make a decision from there.

I have reviewed your account and do see case 14363665631 is open and Seller Support has engaged an internal team for further review as well. I recommend that you continue to monitor that case for updates.

I am also dropping a resource below that covers more information on invoice requirements in case this helps as well.

Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell

Thank you,

Steve
