Can I Get Brand Approval Using the Name of a Deactivated Amazon Account?
I have a question about brand approval. If a brand name was previously used on a deactivated Amazon seller account (which is not linked to me in any way), can I still apply for brand approval using that same brand name on my own account?
Is it possible, or would Amazon reject the request due to the brand being associated with a deactivated account in the past?
I’d really appreciate any insights.
Thanks in advance!

No, it doesn't matter who else sold a brand to get approval to sell that brand. The curious question would be, HOW do you know someone who sold that brand was deactivated? Someone who is NOT associated with you at all?

Hi there @Seller_RxVOYYSHw5UeH,
In general Brands are separate from Seller Accounts and enforcement on a Seller Account shouldn't have any effect on the Brand. However, Brand Registry also has policies and Brands can be enforced for behaviors that violate Amazon policies which may impact that Brand. However if you have no relationship to the Brand or the deactivated accounts you shouldn't have any issues on that front. This does not mean you are guaranteed to be approved for a given Brand. You will want to ensure you provide all requested information for your application. Thank you for your understanding.
