Running a Successful Promotion on Amazon
Want to boost sales and attract new customers on Amazon? Running a well-crafted promotion is the perfect way to do it! Here's a simplified guide to get you started:
1. Choose Your Promotion Type
Percentage Off: Offer a discount on eligible items (e.g., 15% off).
Buy One, Get One Free: Encourage volume purchases with a free item.
Quantity Discounts: Reward customers for buying more (e.g., 10% off when you buy 3).
2. Set Your Promotion Conditions
Who's Eligible?
Specific Products: Choose individual ASINs or SKUs.
Entire Catalog: Include all your products in the promotion.
3. Set Your Budget (and Limits)
Percentage-Off: Set a budget to control costs. The promotion will end when 80% of the budget is used.
Buy One, Get One: Set a budget based on the number of orders.
4. Schedule Your Promotion
Start Date: At least 4 hours from now and within 90 days.
End Date: Within 180 days of the start date.
5. Give Your Promotion a Name (For Your Records)
Create a descriptive title to easily identify the promotion in your account.
6. Review and Launch!
Double-check all the details before submitting your promotion.
Track your results and adjust your strategy as needed.
Important Notes:
- Wine and BMVD (Books, Music, Video, DVD) are excluded from most promotions.
- Don't stack promotions. This can lead to unexpected discounts for customers.
- Ready to launch your Amazon promotion? Follow these steps and watch your sales grow!
Thank you,
Joey

Hi @Joey_Amazon,
I went into the system to make a promotion discount, as I’ve done before. Did the percentage minimum change recently? Because it’s not letting me put in my normal discount I use.
