Suppliers Invoice Billing Name and address requirements

Hope everyone is well. Amazon requires that to unlock products the invoice and quantities needs to be certain way and quantities (10 minimum). My question is to which name and address my invoice from my supplier must have billing too? From my “Business Address and Phone number” or “Legal Entity” as tax are filled? Thanks

Interesting question. As a Single Member LLC, there is a difference.

I am a manufacturer, so I only have indirect knowledge of this, but AMZ Brand Registry accepted my suppliers invoices for components and they were all in my LLC's name.

I understand you have questions regarding what information needs to be on invoices submitted to Amazon.

Any time a responsible sourcing documentation request is made, they must meet certain requirements. They are typically going to be copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured.

These documents:

  • Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  • Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  • Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents
  • Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the xoriginal manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.
  • You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

Also, the information for your business details must match what is within the Business Address and Phone number section of the Account Info menu option. Your name, or your business's name, must also be present on both the invoice and your selling account.

I hope this information helps.

All the best,

Stevie
