Can't clear Product ID Field in variations -I have a GTIN Exemption

I have added a product with variations via add one at a time, NOT via flat file. All variations are showing an error for not filling in the "Product ID" fields. I accidentally chose ASIN for the external Product ID Type field and can not seem to clear it. I do have a GTIN exemption. Is there a way to continue/clear the ID Type fields? I know leaving them blank in a flat file works. The listing is ready to upload except for this error. Is there a way to continue using this method? I am getting nowhere fast with my product listings, since starting this Amazon journey.....

Hi there @Seller_uKkXKVmLu72ZR,

Based on my understanding of your issue, in general the best course to build a variation for a product without product identifiers is to build it via an upload instead, in general creating listings without product identifiers can't be done via one by one using the product with variations path as identifiers are required.

The best course to solve this issue in my experience will be creating listings via upload instead. Once the listings exist in full you should be able to create a variation using the Variation Wizard.
