Product eligibilty for return and refund

Hi,

Does anyone know why the same product may have different returns policies? For background, the items are food supplements and when shopping from Vendor it states “Non-returnable but eligble for refund if damaged or defective.” However, when the item is shipped as FBA, it states “Returnable within 30 days of receipt”.

We have enrolled to Amazon’s returns policy even for FBM orders. So all orders (FBM, FBA or Vendor) placed by customers on Amazon for our products should fall into Amazon’s return policy.

Under the impression the eligiblity for returns was defined by the product category and with these being supplements, should not be eligible for a return unless defective. But that doesn’t seem to be the case all the time.
