Amazon PPC - What is the best approach?
For those of you that use Amazon Ads / PPC I have a couple of questions...
1) Have you found that it's better to have a single campaign with multiple products or a separate campaign for each product you advertise?
2) Have you found the automatic campaigns to be more or less successful than manual campaigns?
My reason for asking is that a couple of years ago we had a campaign set up by an Amazon employee who reached out to us to offer support with Amazon Ads. In general, the campaign has done fairly well so I've left it alone for the most part (apart from some general housekeeping) but over the past 12 months, the ACOS has hovered around 26%.
I want to try and get my Ad spend down or increase the sales I get from the money I'm spending but I don't really know which way to go. The campaign mentioned above was set up with 4 'Ad Groups' - I paused one of the ad groups back when the campaign was created as it had 240+ SKU's in it but the better performing of the 2 ad groups I left alone has 36 SKU's in there.
I'm not a huge fan of Amazon tutorials on youtube but I did watch one video on PPC that suggested you should have a campaign per product and then refine the keywords by product but I would love to hear what actual sellers on here have experienced.
Any advice/input would be much appreciated.

I've found running separate campaigns for each product much more effective as you have greater control. Especially if you have a small profit margin on the item. Sponsored Product ads will generally provide the best returns on ad spend.
As for automatic or manual it can depend on what you are selling. We sell some specialist items so manual is often better for those products as you can use negative keywords to refine your results.
It is a challenge to manage Amazon Ads but they really can make a difference. It takes a lot of trial and error so my best advice is to set your self a budget and check performance daily.
