Backordered items already bought by clients, but the shipment is lost.
Hello all!
We have a FBA shipment, that has a status 'ready to ship'. I can see now that many items out of this shipment have already been ordered by customers.
Unfortunately, the carrier has lost the package, so we're unable to deliver this FBA shipment. What would happen to the buyers' orders? will they be cancelled automatically, and if so, when?
Will this affect our account score and how?

It is always a bad omen to sell a product that is not in stock. The orders will have to be canceled, thus affecting your account. The difference is if you cancel them, taking a hit on each one, or the buyer cancels, taking no hit.
