Can you share your GS1 codes?

Hi,

I recently bought a company prefix with 100 barcodes in GS1. One of my friends is getting started in Amazon and was asking if he could use 1 GS1 barcode from me. Is that possible/allowed? If possible, do I add his info in that particular barcode and send it to him? He does not have a brand registered and only planning on going individually without registering a brand.

Nope. Amazon checks the brand of the item with the GS1 registered brand.

Note -- you may find old information about buying one-off UPCs and selling on Amazon. It used to be allowed/aka not policed. But it's a no go now.
