UPC Code Issue: GS1 Verified, but Amazon Not Recognizing It

Hello everyone,

I’m facing a frustrating issue with listing my product on Amazon, and I’m hoping someone here might have a solution or advice.

I am selling an unbranded product in a pack of 20 and have acquired GTINs and UPC codes directly through GS1 (not third-party resellers). When I do a UPC lookup, the product shows up correctly. However, when I attempt to list the item on Amazon, I receive an error message stating, “Amazon cannot match the UPC with a product.”

I contacted GS1 for assistance, and they confirmed everything on their end is set up correctly. Our supplier has already printed the UPC barcodes on the packaging, so we are locked in with these codes.

I’ve spoken to Amazon Seller Support multiple times, but I’m still stuck with the same error. It’s becoming quite a headache since we can’t even get our product live because of this mismatch issue.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on how to resolve this? I would really appreciate any insights or guidance.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there @Seller_Jn62xbb5T5PDJ,

It's likely that Amazon isn't able to verify that the UPC belongs to you and this product as the product is generic. If you provide your most recent Seller Support Case I can see what options exist to escalate this issue further. Thank you for your understanding.
