How to get reinsated after having my account deactivated for a couple of years

Hello,

I've been suspended for quite sometime now or should I say "deactivated" I originally was suspended for not being able to provide an invoice or receipt I had for an ASIN back in 2017. Amazon wanted proof that I actually owned or purchased the ASIN I was selling at time that's no longer displayed or even on the current amazon website. I couldn't find it on amazon and I honestly don't know how to find any invoices or receipts I might have had for it. I didn't keep up with my proof of purchases back then. So I thought there was nothing that could be done back then and gave up. A couple of years passed by and I thought to appeal to see if I could be reinstated again on amazon. After another couple of years making it clear to them that I absolutely don't have the ASIN proof they wanted, they gave me an alternative for a chance to start over and made me acknowledge their policies and pledge that I do things differently if I were to sell on the platform which of course I agreed to.

However, they wanted new invoices or receipts of the ongoing new items I will sell in the future in order to be reinstated. I had no issues with that and provided an invoice. however, while that invoice seemed to be acceptable, they wanted another one from a different supplier as stated below:

"Hello,

We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account at this time.

How do I reactivate my account?

To reactivate your selling account, please submit the following information:

-- Copies of final invoices or receipts from a new supplier after 12/30/2023

-- These documents should reflect at least 10 units of inventory.

-- Include contact information for your new supplier, including name, phone number, address, and website. We will maintain the confidentiality of your supplier contact information.

-- You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible.

You can only send .pdf, .jpg, .png, or .gif files. These documents must be authentic and unaltered. You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASINs under review."

For Every new invoice I summitted after that message I was always told:

Hello masterpiece06,

We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account.

Why did this happen?

You have not sent us sufficient information that we previously requested from you to address our concerns with your account. For privacy reasons, we do not provide details about our investigation methods.

What happens now?

Your account will remain deactivated. If we do not receive the requested information your account will remain deactivated. "

I've been getting this reply for every submission of appeal for the last 2 years from amazon seller support despite all invoices including everything they've asked for. I don't know what to do at this point anymore. What supplier is accepted for amazon to approve? Every single one I've tried they will not take. Any help is much appreciated.

That sounds really bad. If I understand well you want to sell BRANDS. To do this you need:

1. A "Letter of Authorization" from the brand allowing you to sell their brand on Amazon.

2. INVOICE (not receipt) from an authorized distributor. An invoice is a document with your name and address, exactly how you registered it in your seller account under "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered Address". And an authorized distributor is a company authorized by the brand owner. If you buy on the WEBSITE of a brand, you get a receipt and not an invoice.

Even if you can provide both elements I am not sure if your "old" violation is really behind you. Also, nobody knows if they mean your NEW invoices or your OLD violation by saying:

Please review: Supply Chain Standards and Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements In part this says:

Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:

  • Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured

These documents:

  • Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  • Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  • Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents
  • Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

When you provided an invoice to Amazon, was it from a verifiable supplier of the brand you wish to sell? Would your supplier be willing and able to provide the information for their supplier invoices? Could your supplier be contacted and confirm their supply chain? Would your supplier be able to provide a Letter of Authorization for the items you want to sell?

You may also review: Invoice requirements

This help page explains what information an invoice should include and what won't be accepted.

Included in the help documentation: Your supplier should have a strong web presence that can be verified through government resources such as business tax registration numbers, where applicable, or other credible third-party sources such as brand websites or business directories.

Please review this guidance for supply chain and invoice requirements. Your new documentation should fit the above requirements. Review your most recent performance notification and provide the information requested.

If you require additional information, we encourage you to reach back in this thread.

Thank you for reaching out on the Forums. The Forums and I are here to support you.
