Item remved: claiming to be a treatment, cure, or remedy for sleep disorders such as insomnia and sleep apnea
@Danny_Amazon
We've been selling lavender bath bombs on Amazon since 2018, with no medical claim and no claim to cure anything. The only phrase in the description approaching that was "lavender essential oil for relaxation at nighttime," which I immediately removed. I've put in a case to reinstate, but am also baffled by the email saying that I have to close the listing pending the outcome of the case--but when I try to close the (FBA) listing, the button is grayed out. In the meantime, my most popular product is offline for days.
We work so hard to handmake quality products and avoid medical claims. This is so frustrating.

Well, now a second item has been flagged as claiming to treat sleep disorders: a soap with mint and rosemary that jocularly starts off with This is NOT a relaxing soap." What kind of a crude program is flagging every description with the word "relaxing" in it? I'm sure that like the first time, we'll clear it up, but it's such a time waster for a small business.

We go through this about every week, we are currently experiencing this with our Bergamot essential oil. Not sure if its the Amazon algorithm or just hostile sellers trying to take products off the front page with reporting, cause there is that element of scum on this site unfortunately. What's really frustrating is when you fix it and the seller support after a day responds with the same copy and paste message. Hopefully you get the one agent that actually does there job who will immediately restore it which always happens for us.

I'm currently appealing the removal of one of our most popular EOs.
It's not the first time they've done that and I'm always baffled at how Amazon makes accusations based entirely on a single keyword picked up by the bot.

We sell a Goat's Milk "Night" Cream. It was also flagged and removed. Sent in images of the product, all sides. Explained that it made "no drug claims" Product was reinstated.
I don't understand amazon, we sell a brand that is in many parts of the world and seller sell our products that break FDA and amazon rules. We do test buys and show them and they do nothing. Then they have a random AI that just picks products with one word and remove them. During Covid we had moisturizing face masks for sale for years but because it had the words face masks they were removed eventhough they are just cream!
My opinion but I think amazon will fail soon, customers are just as frustrated as sellers. Focus your efforts on selling on your own webstore and offer excellent service, customers will even pay more for the service. Amazon is done.

Amazon is removing thousands of products to prepare for the lawsuit.

This is getting to be quite ridiculous and time consuming for sellers.
Just before the Prime Day we had garlic-infused olive oil listing surpassed and removed from our catalog because there was a phrase in the listing stating that garlic is good for one's immune system. Nothing new here.
And carrot is good for one's eyesight as it is rich in vitamin A. Does such a statement make carrot a supplement???
Yes, most products do get reinstated...
Now another listing surpassed - a lavender foot cream as Amazon suspects it is something that can affect one's mental health. We sent them a full ingredients' product label as product is small and it's impossible to fit a complete ingredients list in one image. No, that's not good enough for them...

This is so typical of the way Amazon treats sellers (aka the people who put money in their execs' and stockholders' pockets). You work hard to do what's right, but Amazon has some kid genius algorithm that tells them taking care of sellers detracts from their bottom line.

Happened on my product too. I am manufacturing shampoo and conditioner bars. My one variation has been removed from the same reason same time with you. I think Amazon's algorithm is a mess. All they do is aggrieve small businesses like us on Q4. How can i claim treating sleep disorder with a shampoo bar. Also my shampoo bar has rosemary oil in it too.
