Sales dropped a lot

I'm doing PL. It's all my own product. However, I have been experiencing an incredible decline in sales for the last 2-3 months. Am I the only one experiencing this?

Sorry to say we are not. Retail sales are always centered around three things, product, Product, and PRODUCT. If you sell products that buyers want and need, and offer them at the lowest price, they sell themselves every day.

Maybe competition for your product has gotten stronger. Competitor pricing/Ad spend/unique product offerings?

Maybe your listing needs to be optimized differently? With sales slowing Im assuming you've lost organic ranking in a number of key search categories?

we have had a significant drop in sales since the informed act fiasco

After a while here your sales will decline and they will never recover. New sellers get all the sales until they're hooked

Yes, same thing happened to me and I have been fighting for my life since September. There has been some radical change. Organic sales have dropped by 80% and my PPC campaigns ACOS started skyrocketing. I eventually had to pause 3 previously high performing campaigns and am now focused on one that I am tweaking daily to stay on budget and convert sales. This one add is the only thing keeping me alive.

I contacted the catalog team and had them check my listing and they said they do not see anything wrong.

One odd thing that Amazon support has not been able to fix is tht I can no longer make updates to my listing in Seller Central using the Manage Inventory. I cannot update offers. Support and the Catalog teams says they do not know why and that I'll have to make all updates through feeds from now on.

To add insult to injury, the seller who copied my product, the colors, etc. and they are killing it! Amazon does reward foriegn sellers.

Anyway, something changed, I mean really changed but I am not giving up.

Not just you. Our sales have been down for about the last 6 months. I assume it has something to do with Amazon's search algorithms and the fact that the product detail pages are a lot more confusing for buyers than they used to be. I'm really hoping that sales start picking up soon.

Yes sales significantly dropped past 3-4 months, because

Amazon search algorithm now favors sponsored products that are irrelevant to search. I honestly having hard time to find what I am looking for on Amazon , have to dig down to pages to find the product I need. Amazon removed the default search filter relevance to featured and removed the relevance filter completely. This was a top topic on the forum and as per Seller Mods reach out to the Amazon Business Team regarding this "relevance" filter issue, Amazon Business Team declined to answer. (which means they are completely aware of it and they are targeting to make $$$ by sponsored clicks instead of dealing with sales and returns. I am sure it will make them goof profits but it will not last long as sellers will have to leave the platform due to no profits, you probably notice the ads costs also skyrocketed).

On top of above of course economy is going downwards too (It is funny how they tell us economy growth 2.6% in

img

2023 , well they only consider numbers which make 0 sense. So if you sold $100 in 2022 and you sold in 2023 $102.6 this is not a growth when you add the inflation and population growth)
