Opaque Poly-bag fragrance sachets

Hello,

We've been selling our home fragrance sachets on FBA since at least 2019 maybe longer. We've been using an opaque poly bag and not had any problems. We have an error message now that says an old shipment (from April) didn't pass the poly-bag requirements because it was opaque and not transparent. However, we've had other shipments after that one that were accepted. There was absolutely no difference in their contents or packaging. Now we are being asked to acknowledge the poly-bag requirements to send this product again. I'm confused about how we've gone so long without this coming up before and why later shipments were accepted. Any feedback on why this may have occurred would be great. Have I just been lucky I wasn't flagged sooner? Why would they accept shipments that were in transit after this one if it was flagged for improper packaging? Thanks in advance.

The requirements specify that poly-bags be transparent (except for those times where they tell you they must be opaque!), but I used opaque bags for over a year before I re-read the requirements; never had a problem.

I suspect this is one of those things that rarely gets enforced, although of course that could change. Maybe someone was bored or in a bad mood when you got dinged.

But I would recommend changing to transparent so there are no problems down the road.

Yeah that requirement doesn't make sense. Let's say instead of polybag you put the item in a cardboard box = that is fine even though you still can't see the item in there, but an opaque polybag is a no-no! Very strange.
