Amazon Seller central account vs. Kindle account

Dear Amazon,

I am a new on Amazon, and recently I have signed up for an Amazon seller account. I have also payed for the Professional, and haven't added any products. But, soon I realised I needed to sign up for Kindle-Direct Publishing, instead of Amazon Seller Central, for I wished to sell ebooks. Now my first ebook is live. Thus, I put:

1. The Store Status from Amazon Seller Central on vacation mode, and

2. From the Account Management- Downgrade account- Selling on Amazon, I have checked for the Individual plan.

Questions:

1. Will Amazon Seller Central take money next month or in the future from my credit card / bank account for another fee - Professional plan? I hope not.

2. I wish to keep the Kindle - Direct Publishing account, so should I close the Amazon Seller Central Account? I hope I can without affecting my Kindle account.

I look forward for your answer!

Kind regards,

Andra

Amazon KDP and Amazon Seller Central are 2 completely different programs that have nothing to do with each other. Having accounts for each is not a policy violation, and closing one will have no impact on the other.

Hi @Seller_HYJkSHxZeNqil

Connor from Amazon here, thanks for your question.

To address the Professional Plan, since you downgraded to the Individual plan then there shouldn't be any future charges, as long as you don't have any inventory on your seller account.

As for closing it, if your seller account and kindle self publishing share the same e-mail address, then yes it will be affected.

I hope this helps,

Connor
