Providing your Merchant Token
Hello everyone,
We are a UK-based company that represents some brands on Amazon. These brands have invited us as administrators for their brand registry accounts by simply sending us an email invitation. We have recently partnered with a new brand from Asia who have asked us to provide our merchant token in order to access their brand registry account. However, we are hesitant to do this as we have read online that this could pose some risks, such as:
• They could access or modify our account information, such as our inventory, orders, reports, payments, etc.
• They could use our merchant token to enrol in other Amazon services or programmes without our consent or knowledge.
• They could share our merchant token with third parties who could misuse it or compromise our account security.
We would like to know if these risks are true and what your opinions are on this matter. Thank you for your input and advice.

it’s quite clear on the merchant token help pages it should not be sharedcwith other sellers. I don’t ever recall it being needed to access brand registry.
