I am new to Amazon and wanted to know if GST is required. I have started a new business and turnover is very low as of now. Moreover, while filling Tax details in Amazon seller registration, there was an option which says “GST pending”. Can I select that and continue selling without GST? Will it have implications?

Yes GST is mandatory to sell something on Amazon platform. You need to have GSTIN to list the items on Amazon. You cannot sell or continue without GSTIN.

Hi,
Till GST is Pending you can continue to sell only GST exempted products. Search for GST exempted products like books etc in order to sell till you get GST NO. There are many items which comes under GST exempt category. Search it and list it.
