Global Account merge - Existing marketplace with same owner cannot be merged

Global Account merge - Existing marketplace with same owner cannot be merged

I was asked to create a new seller account and create global account and merged them into the existing account.

However, after I successfully managed to register the new account and receiving the following error.

Accounts, irrespective of their status, that exist in the same marketplace cannot be merged!

I guess now I need to delete or remove the Americas region from my new Seller account!

But there is no clear instruction on how to do that!

Anyone who encountered the same issue please shed some light!!
