How to close account when you've had a sale in last 90 days
With sales being so low, it barely supports the $39.99
I reached out to support who stated that I needed to not have any sales in last 90 days and a zero balance. I have an option to downgrade to an individual account that’s not want I want to do I want to end this insanity Amazon is not the same company it was when I first started 10+ years ago.
Being forced to continue paying monthly fees is ridiculous. Being forced to change to an individual account is not what I want I started with an individual account and upgraded to professional for business reasons
When will Amazon support their professional selling partners?
If any moderator is reading this, please help. My case ID is 14895494881 (which has been transferred),

What is your question?
We just understand that you neither want to pay the monthly $ 39.99 nor to downgrade to the free "Individual Selling plan".
It is always possible to close your account. If THAT is your question and the system wants 90 days without sale (first time I hear that, probably because of eventual returns), remove all your inventory, close all listings, wait 90 days and properly close the account. It's doesn't hurt to downgrade NOW to Individual for at least save 3 months of subscription.

Do not close your account!!!!! Downgrade it to an INDIVIDUAL seller account. Once you close the account you can never come back!!! As Niel Young says when your outta the blue and into the black you can NEVER COME BACK!!!!

Since (most) Sellers only get ONE (1) Amazon Seller Account per-lifetime, it is probably best to NOT "Close" the account.
Instead, do the following:
1) Downgrade your account from Professional to Individual. This will eliminate the $39.99, but it will also eliminate many other options that Pro-Level grants Sellers.
2) If you need some time away, put your account on "Vacation Mode", which will hide your listings.
Good Luck!

As others have said, if you really really want to close the account, you are gonna need to wait to actually be able to close it.
So downgrade so you are not getting charged the subscription fee while you wait out the 90 days.
Make sure you delete all your listings. If you have any FBA create the removal order and clean it all out.
Put your account on vacation.
Wait out your 90 days.
This is a good time to remind you (though as a long time seller, you already know) if you shut down this account and close it, there is a good chance that if you ever come back and want to open an account, it isn't going to work very well since even if you close an account, amazon still remembers you. And while closing an account in good standing SHOULD allow you to come back, we all know how well the whole "should" work and "does" work coincide around here. So make very sure you want to quit before you actually do.

Hi @Seller_6hFuE3oTzYyFr,
Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. As sellers have mentioned, when permanently closing a selling account please take the following steps prior to closing the account. During this process, if you do not wish to pay the monthly subscription fee for the Professional plan, I recommend downgrading to the Individual plan.
- Fulfill any outstanding orders.
- Wait 90 days after your last sale to ensure the A-to-z Guarantee claims period is honored.
- Wait until you have a zero balance in your account (your next disbursement or charge date).
- Resolve all of your transactions with buyers, including issuing any necessary refunds.
- Confirm that your bank account information on file is up-to-date to receive a final payment.
- Check your Performance notifications to make sure that all the reasons for your account's suspension have been resolved and your account is restored.
If you have Fulfillment by Amazon inventory, you must submit a request to either return or dispose all inventory before closing your account. To learn more about creating removal orders, see Remove inventory (overview).
Please let me know if there are any questions or if you run into any issues closing your account.
Thanks,
Steve

Cancel the cable TV and streaming services; keep the $40 Amazon Seller account.
One day you may be able to monetize your seller account, and that nagging payment may motivate you.
You'll never get a net positive out of cable or streaming services.

"Professional selling partners" is not a term I would use. the same way that people working in a restaurant are not "Associates".
