Nightmare Compliance

Hi guys, Amazon is asking for Compliance Requirements, I keep sending images and the certificates at least five documents (EN71, EC Declaration and so on). They keep coming back to me via email rejecting the product and saying the same thing, that it is to do with the certificates but I cant trust these generic emails. It could be the images? Can someone pls help me out with this what am I doing wrong. Everything seems to be ok that I am sending them. This product is already sold on Amazon as well.

is it that 5 documents should be converged into 1 or less documents? I have uploaded photos below

This is the part of the email I keep getting as a response from Amazon as to why

b) EC Declaration of Conformity - This document can be obtained from the brand owner, EU/UK importer or EU/UK authorized representative.

We kindly inform you that the EC Declaration of Conformity must contain:

• Product Identifier (product image or model number or product description corresponding to provided product images)

• Toys Directive 2009/48/EC and/or other applicable directives

• EN 71-1: Mechanical and physical properties and/or other applicable EN standards

• Signature, name, function of the signatory

It has been very painful trying to sort this out as they want to return the items to me or dispose of them.

Perhaps its because Amazon want a Certificate of Conformity.

You seem to have sent them a Declaration of Conity.

Suggest you read their reply more closely.

Good luck.

As an importer, you can generate your own declaration of Conformity document as you will take responsibility of the goods.

The DoC must contain the name and address, signature and position within the company.

The Doc must also state that they conform to certain standards and that someone will ultimately take responsibility for the goods which is what amazon are looking for.

If you contact me, I will be more than happy to send you a template and what details you have to have within the DoC and on the packaging.

I am having a similar problem - but in my case they 'think' a product I sell does not come with a standard 3-pin UK plug when it does.

There email is so badly worded it makes no sense. I've sent photos of the item 3 times now showing EAN number, the item in box, the outside of the box (where it is stated the item comes with a UK plug) and even taken the item out of the box and taken a photo showing the plug in the picture - each time it gets rejected with this exact same nonsense reply:

We received your appeal, but we are unable to reactivate your ASINs at this time.

Why did this happen?

The product detail page for the ASINs indicated in the next paragraph is not compliant with our policies.

What actions do I need to take?

To reactivate your ASINs, remove the prohibited content indicated below from your product detail page or provide additional evidence of compliance:

ASIN: B08F8R7NP6

Recommended changes to be done: Kindly upload these attached images to the detail page for further review.

Please note that the changes made to the product detail page can take from 2 to 4 hours to reflect in our systems. If after 4 hours the changes are not reflecting correctly, feel free to reopen this case.

How do I send the required information?

You can provide the required information on your "Account Health" page by clicking the appeal button next to the deactivated listing and following the instructions provided

So it says I need to 'remove the prohibited content indicated below from your product detail page or provide additional evidence of compliance:'

OR 'Kindly upload these attached images to the detail page for further review'

As Amazon have deactivated the listing it is not possible for me to edit the product detail page or upload images to it - beside which do we really need to upload a photo on every electrical item showing an attached plug now (and do so BEFORE Amazon deactivate it!)?

As for 'provide additional evidence of compliance' - what more evidence do they need apart from an image showing the item has a standard 3-pin UK plug ??

I've given up and pulled the listing from Amazon. 3 attempts to rectify and even asking Seller Support for help and I just get exact same email back each time with no explanation as to how I can either edit the listing they have deactivated or what is wrong with the images I have supplied.

My time is better spent on other things and I shall sell the items on other places instead.
