We're unable to collect payment and your campaigns have stopped delivering.

Hello, my ad campaigns have stopped delivering for 5 DAYS now. it is a new Amazon account, I just launched the product, I'm brand registered and my account health is 200.

the ad ran for 4 days before stopping, and the payment was deducted from my Amazon account, immediately after the ad stopped I updated my debit card because I find out it was not attached. the card is working because Amazon has debited it before.

I'm only owing $31

I have sent 10 messages to Amazon and they keep sending the same reply, they said they have forwarded the information to their internal team and will get back to me. I have also called the advertising team on the phone and they still gave me the same reply.

These are the error messages:

There’s an issue with your payment method and your campaigns have stopped delivering.

We're unable to collect payment and your campaigns have stopped delivering.

Go to Payment Settings to update your default payment method to resume advertising.

when I click on the account setting my debit card information is there.

Sorry, do you want to ruin yourself? Spent $ 340.-- for getting sales of 45.--? Rethink about that.

FIRST, do NOT believe half the stuff that "support" says over the phone.

This is one of the great flaws in the Amazon system. You can OPEN an Amazon account with a DEBIT card but when you go to the next step and want to be a seller you need a credit card.

IF Amazon was interested in ANYTHING other than cash flow (for them) they would verify that applicants for a SELLING account had a VALID credit card on file BEFORE they allowed an account to be opened.

Amazon is NOT interested in correcting that issue because they collect $40 EVERY TIME a "seller" opens an account and then does NOT have a valid card that they can use on the site.

THOUSANDS of "new sellers" every month and HUNDREDS that don't have (initially) the proper cards on file. And that translates to MILLIONS of dollars a year for (you guessed it) AMAZON.

Here are the steps on the Amazon "help" board for fixing the issue IF you have a valid card to use:

Update your credit card information

If you have received an error message about your credit card, it is important to update your credit card information as soon as possible.

Check the below information related to your credit card:

Is the credit card valid?

Is there a minimum charge amount?

Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)

Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?

Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?

Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)

Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?

Until the card verification problem is resolved, Amazon won't be able to process any payments for your account.

Note: Only the primary account owner can make changes related to payment information.

We were told by support once upon a time that Debit Cards were acceptable, but that is not the case. Credit card is the way to go and will avoid this type of situation from happening in the future.

Hi @Seller_hyIXZ95rW5xDk,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm investigating this for you and will get back to you as soon as I have more information.

In the meantime, can you share the Ads Support case ID associated with this issue?

Hi @Seller_hyIXZ95rW5xDk,

Good news! It looks like your ads account is now showing active and enabled. I wanted to check and be sure you were seeing the same thing.

Let us know if you have any other issues!
