GTIN Exemption Loop - Help!
I've seen several threads about this, but they are all locked. Has anyone had success with this issue?? I've been in a loop with GTIN exemption for a week.
Must apply - apply - approved - go to list - must apply!
No one in the customer service can help, and I feel like I am taking crazy pills. No trademark, so can't be a brand. Have it listed as Generic, and still nothing. Just a loop from hell.
Please help?

That is Amazon friendly way of saying you are not going to get one. Amazon never directly comes out and says no to anything. This way is just a more kindly way of doing it. Buy the GS1 UPC for the product and things will go a lot quicker.
Now with that says, your username sort of implies that you are selling one off antiques. Amazon certainly does not want to give an exemption for a one time sale. Now if you have 144 unit cases of the same product, this may be a different story.
Ebay may be a better fit, as it would have been sold by now.

We have some magazine we had GTIN exemption. Now we have to apply for exemption again. We did not waste our tie we sold it on other platform.

Someone on an earlier thread said that they had managed to get their blanket exemption restored after MUCH persistence, but they didn't give details. I'd had the exemption for non-ISBN books for many years that allowed me easily to list books that were not already in the Amazon catalogue. But when Amazon ended it (suddenly and without any notice) I tried without success to have it reinstated -- probably getting the same frustrating messages as you are getting. If anyone has any ideas, or better yet, success stories, they would be most welcome!

I was granted a GTIN exemption for a brand, but then it never went through. Then I was told by the escalations team it was an "oops" and that it never would go through. I've tried several times after, only to be caught in the loop you are talking about, asking for the same information over and over again. I finally gave up because I can go out to GS1 and get their UPC, it's just that the brand doesn't put it on their products, so technically I should be able to get an exemption.

An amazing associate on the phone helped me - if your GTIN exemption is for GREETING CARD, you must list the brand AND manufacturer as Generic. Manufacturer is on the second page, and won't give you any alert that it is wrong. So just type Generic for that, too. Listings showed up in 5-6 minutes after doing this. Thank goodness.
