Deactivated account as failed video verification

Had not been selling on Amazon all that long (under a year) and was just starting to pick up sales when i get a message about needing a video verification interview. I admit that i missed the first message they sent regarding attending an interview but did then attended the interview and then afterwards was informed that i had failed the interview and needed to provide more information on 2 specific ASIN's.

Then proceeded months of sending all the information i had on the 2 ASIN's such as confirmation of order, tracking information, delivery information and invoices but time and again was told that information provided was not sufficient. Called them and spoke to several different people who all tell you slightly different information and reasons but can never tell you specific's for "security" reasons, tried to escalate my complaint and apparently spoke to a member of the leadership team as all i wanted to know was the reason i failed the video verification - she could not tell me.

My main issue is:

Why can i not be told the reason i failed the video verification - as there could be an easy explanation or i could solve this issue?

Why can i not be told the reason why the 2 ASIN's have been highlighted as i know they were bought directly from the manufacturer?

Why have all the numerous documents i have provided regarding these 2 ASIN's not been enough to reactivate my account?

I have been left in the dark behind generic responses from Amazon with no specific reasons given other than the very broad " your seller account will remain deactivated as in accordance with Section 3 of Amazon Business Solutions Agreement"

The last call i had they basically told me that they do not have to tell me the reason why and there is nothing else i can do about it which shows the total disregard they have for sellers, to say i'm angry and disappointed is an understatement as i know there is nothing i have done wrong but Amazon hold all the power and do not care about the small sellers.

From their online retail website or from their wholesale website through the wholesale account you have with them? With the first you have receipts, with the second you have invoices.

Did you provide a LOA from the manufacturer?

I am a relatively new and small scale seller so do not yet have wholesale accounts set up, just accounts on the retail websites - i sent them screenshots of the accounts to show i had bought directly from them, one of them did provide an invoice for me, the other a sales receipt. No complaints were made, and no policy violations - i do not know what the specific problem or suspected problem was with these 2 ASIN's unless the retail outlets are shipping counterfeit goods in their own name which is impossible.

Now the reason for your deactivation is clear -- you didn't source your products properly. OA/RA are dead on Amazon, which is what you were doing. You made a retail purchase. In Amazon's view, you're selling "counterfeit" items because you don't have proper invoices or permission from the brand owner to sell on Amazon. It doesn't matter that "no complaints were made".

View post

As mentioned by @Seller_LImVvUWeyiCfQ, the rejection and failed video call was very likely due to a failed supply chain review to confirm these products were appropriately sourced for resale. When you purchase directly from a suppliers website even the brand itself, they will provide you with a receipt rather than an invoice which does not have all required information mentioned in our responsible sourcing help page. Due to the lack of a valid supply chain at this point we will need to see verification that you are authorized by the brand or rights owner of these products to confirm you are an authorized distributor, this can be completed with a letter of authorization issued to you or the store by the brand or rights owner.

I did not have a LOA from the manufacturer but had been approved to sell both brands in seller central - this is all that is required isn't it?
View post

When you are approved to list a brand on amazon, we approve you to use the ASIN, nothing more. We cannot authorize anyone to sell another companies brand or use their intellectual properties without permission if required. Thus, although you were approved to list these ASINs, you are still required to verify your supplier meets all of our supply chain standards and anti-counterfeiting policies.

Due to the failed video call, if we cannot verify compliance with the requested documentation, the account will not be eligible for reactivation.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
