Adding my Brand to my listing

I created my listing before I got my Brand approved. I listed my product as generic. I just got my brand approved and now I want to add to my ASIN. I was told by customer service I cannot change my brand for that asin but i never applied a brand to my listing as this is a new product that I created. Please help me with this process

It is against Amazon's brand name policy to change the brand name after creation with the only exception being to fix a small typo, so if you want your brand name on the listings, you will need to create new ones.

Hi @Seller_42pKct7ik01W2

Thank you for your question.

Odrade is correct that sellers will have to create new ASINs.

Please see the help page and look at the details under Policies for editing detail pages.

If you choose to re-brand a product you must create a new ASIN rather than update an existing ASIN. This is true even if the product is unbranded and does not change materially after the brand change. This includes adding a brand to a previously unbranded product.

Best,

Sandy
