GS1 barcodes not accepted
Hello,
Wondering if someone can help me? All of a sudden my purchased , allocated barcodes from GS1 not being accepted on Amazon when I create my listing. The error is saying that the barcode is too short? Please see error coming up below.
Value for 'externally_assigned_product_identifier' is shorter than the allowed minimum (14 characters).
Even tried putting them as EAN not just Gtins no joy.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thank you in advance. :)

According to GS1UK:
Barcodes for retail
EAN-13 - Used on retail point of sale items and also in general distribution. It encodes Global Trade Item Numbers (GTIN-13) and is usable worldwide, including in the US.
Barcodes for logistics
ITF-14 = Used to barcode product packaging like cases or cartons.
So there must be something about your listing that makes Amazon think it is product packaging or similar? What is the item and have you raised this with Amazon?
