Cease and Desist Letter in Mail
I recently received a letter in the mail from a company that I sell their product on here. The product is ungated. The product is authentic as I purchased directly from them (though they don't know). First, they stated that I was not compliant with the initial letter they sent (which I did not receive this is the only one I was sent) and then continued to tell me they were going to sue me if I did not stop selling the items because no one is authorized besides them to sell it online. Their excuse is that it is trademark infringement and that I am not selling authentic products (even though I am). So what can I do here? Am I not allowed to resell their products and they can sue me or is this some scare tactic they use to prevent me from profiting? I have received similar kinds of messages from "compliance teams" before (that I feel are not legit), but this is the first time someone has sent mail to my address.

When you say mail, do you mean the Amazon communication System, or USPS mail system. There is a difference.
Amazon will not be of much help because they do not want to get into a dispute between two sellers. So they don't.
If it was the Amazon Communication System, here is how we respond.
"To prevent span on the Amazon site, send all documentation to our legal office by Certified Mail".
Strangely enough, we never have received any more communications, or any letter sent by USPS.

There should be contact information on the C&D letter. Have your lawyer (preferably one used to dealing with IP issues) contact them.
