Amazon is pulling a classic trick with its "Reduced Closing Fees" announcement. While they show small cuts in SF & ES fees, they’ve massively hiked Self-Ship fees—hitting sellers where it hurts.
For example, the Self-Ship fee for ₹0-250 ASP has skyrocketed from ₹7 to ₹45—a shocking 542% increase! Even in the ₹500-1000 range, it jumped from ₹41 to ₹50.
This is how Bald-Headed's empire works???????—distract sellers with small reductions while quietly draining more money elsewhere.
If you don’t look closely, you’ll think Amazon is doing you a favor. Wake up! Do the math! Amazon wins, sellers lose—unless they see through the game.
I sell 250 rupees below item and get 35 to 45 rupees margin, now after giving 45 rupees as closing fee, I am in full loss......My selling career spoiled due to Amazon increased fee.....Now what can I do
i would spend time on building my catalogue elsewhere, no point in adding any more products to amazon. its not really practical for sellers who sell low priced items.. i think its better to look at meesho, which is great for small value items.
Reducing the referral fee from 2% to 0 does not make any real sense. But, this self ship closing fee is going to hurt the business a lot, almost end of margins. I request the Amazon to reassess about this.
