How do I change my Seller Account and Name to An LLC

I currently have a sole proprietor seller account. I want to transfer my existing sole proprietor account to my new LLC and change the name of my store to match the name of my newly created LLC.

I have contacted Amazon help numerous times and have not been helped. I don't think they understand what I want to do. One agent sent me a video link I couldn't access because I'm not an Amazon employee.

He mentioned two forms an LEC and a COC. I don't know where they are inside Amazon.

Should I just delete my existing Amazon account and create a new one with the new LLC?

Good Evening @Seller_5C1NrUyRZTG6v - I wanted to check in on your thread and see if you still required assistance regarding changing from a Sole Proprietor to an LLC?

If you have already worked with Selling Partner Support (which it sounds like you have) I’d be happy to start investigating if you could provide me with the case ID.

Additionally, I wanted to share a link to the U.S. Income Reporting & Tax Identity Collection FAQ page and call out the following section:

How do I update my tax information and legal business name?

To update your tax information, you must complete the U.S. Tax Identity Information Interview.

To update your legal business name:

  1. Go to Settings and click Account Info.
  2. Under Business Information, click Legal Entity.
  3. Enter your Legal Business Name and click Update.

If the issue is already resolved, please disregard this message and have a wonderful week. Thank you for checking in with us on the Seller Forums and for choosing to sell on Amazon. ~ Cooper_Amazon
