ID 17103303451 Case Escalation Request
I would like to request escalation of this case for the excessive cost of the AMZ system generated return shipping label.
1. Customer purchases 8 items, requests return for 1 of 8 items ordered (lowest cost return shipping option USPS Ground Advantage $4.58).
2. AMZ system generates and issues a return shipping label for the what appears to be the entire original order (Order Item ID: 116261249816081 authorized by Amazon = UPS $15.26)
3. Further the return shipping cost is not only, not the lowest return shipping cost option but also exceeds original outbound shipping cost for the entire order (Order ID: 112-0235280-2184233 = USPS Ground Advantage $10.04).
3. AMZ seller support suggests resolution is to open a SAFE-T claim.
4. Previously attempted to open a SAFE-T claim for the excessive cost of the system generated return shipping label, order was not eligible before the return was completed.
5. Completed the return with the customer, again attempted to open a SAFE-T claim, to recover the mistaken label cost and it was not eligible because a refund has been issued to the customer.
6. 2 emails, 6 support specialists, hours of time wasted, multiple requests for escalation and it appears the issue is still not clearly understood based on the latest careful investigation and seller support response provided.
7. At this time Amazon seller support appears to offer no opportunity for its Seller Partner to recover costs if there is a system issue and which is completely out of the seller's control, a path for escalation or a valid response to the excessive cost of the AMZ system generated return shipping label issued to the customer.

Well, I'm sorry to say, I like your story and how well it was documented. I've seen that box saying the reason for the Safe-T claim OVER CHARGED FOR RETURN SHIPPING, but have never had to use it.
Were all of your return actions and refunds done thru the RFS system?
