Dear Amazon,
This is not the way you charge a commission, eg. in the apparel category selling price below 500 is a 2% referral fee but above 500 it’s 18%. That’s not how you charge a commission.
If my selling price is Rs. 500 or Rs. 647, I get the same payout. There is no in-between way.
By doing this you force me to limit my production cost to a certain level to sell under 500, else I have to go way high in selling price and you also know that high price = less order and low price = more order
For buyer Rs. 647 and Rs. 500 is a big difference. But for sellers, it’s the same.
Did you come to the Indian e-commerce market for a time pass? Learn from your competitor, how they charge a commission and treat sellers.

So disappointing to see this change. Earlier the limit was Rs 500/- which has now being brought down to Rs 300/-
It seems amazon doesn’t want small sellers to survive. If i sell item worth 300 or 345 it doesn’t make any difference to me. If i have variations in product with 50 Rs difference then it makes sense for me to discontinue product with higher price.
Didn’t expect this from Amazon. In quest of becoming more and more buyer friendly you are becoming less seller friendly.

Very bad move by Amazon Strategically by increasing ref fee
on the counter side there are new apps (are increasing) which are charging Zero referral fees .
This shift will discourage sellers and sellers will be forcefully out from Amazon
All the hardwork that was done on this marketplace goes on toes.

Hi Team,
it is really disappointing as you increased the percentage directly from 2% to 17% on T-shirt and small seller like me have to suffer. Because you people deducted the percentage so i have reduced my price also to the buyer as am getting the benefit on amazon as 2% fee so i thought let the buyer also get the benefit. But now i can see Amazon just thinks about his own business and putting us into confusion. Request you kindly reduced the percentage again as it was earlier. As my product is below 400/- Rs and giving export quality tshirt. when we think alot about customer why amazon doesn’t think about us?? Even we are small sellers.

For fashion jewelry Amazon has increased the referral fee from 2% to 22.5% all of a sudden 10X increase and offering no discount on referral on fee. Do Amazon really think that the small business make 10X profits?? Other market places like Flipkart, Ajio, Mesho offering fraction to 0% commission. I think Amazon should fix a reasonable % else pricing competition among the various marketplaces will hijack amazon’s customer base due the higher price offer by the sellers because of the referral fees charged by Amazon.

dear seller
we are work on amazon verry low margin to sale big quantity but after this decision we lost our sale. other platfarm continoue their charges but on amazon we lost all sale some few days. this is hearbreaking.

Amazon’s charges are such that sellers selling low value items are earning Rs. 0 even after sending Rs.200-300 products. Other platforms are giving me better returns so I m forced to focus on them as I cant earn money on Amazon
