Any Decline in Jewelry Sales?

I've been on Amazon for 6 years and my sales have decreased twentyfold compared to two years ago, and I don't think this can be explained solely by the economic downturn. After retiring, I turned my 30-year-old hobby of jewelry design into a full-time job, but I've been struggling ever since. What do you think might be the cause of this decline?

2 biggest changes over the past few years have been the search function no longer showing a list of the top items for the keyword and ads placements becoming so loose and broad they are no longer relevant. It's a struggle to get visibility unless you are dumping money into PPC.

Your customers have maxed out their credit cards and with the higher interest rates do not have any way to comfortably reduce debt.

That and the rich probably do not shop for jewelry on AMAZON!

I can tell you what it is. Amazon has made a conscious decision to allow fraud in the space. We used to sell 1000's of gold hoops. We now might sell a dozen a month.

The problem, all the fraud in the space. When what amazon calls bad actors, are selling huge earrings for $79 that are gold plated brass and calling them 14K gold , saying metal stamp 14K how is the consemer to know they are a victim of fraud. Amazon knows about , has known about it and continues to allow it.

Look at this for example:

https://www.amazon.com/AIGAMIT-Earrings-Trendy-Polished-Classic/dp/B0CBJJ2HLX

https://www.amazon.com/DZCYAN-Earrings-Women-Minimalist-Earring/dp/B0CKMYNSDD

Zero chance those are 14K gold but they sell hundreds of these fake gold hoops. I have purcahsed several pairs and filed complaints

Metal Stamp- 14K - nope not stamped

Messaged sellers "are these real gold" sellers- nope gold plated.
