Amazon returns due to customer rejects are causing massive losses to the sellers and to the company
This is an issue amazon has to solve at the root. Please allow me to explain:
1. Returns that come in as customer rejects are almost always unusable. Either the original box in which they are sent are completely damaged, causing damage to the goods inside, or the goods inside are returned in courier bags even though the initial order was dispatched in 5 ply cardboard boxes.
2. If returned in the original boxes, one can see how amazon executives have opened the box and covered them with either clear or yellow tape. Why exactly are they doing this?
To the mods in here asking me to simply file safe-t claims, it is not that easy. Most safe-t claims undergo what you call "investigation" for what is rightfully ours. Either automate the process or get rid of this scam.
I want this issue to be highlighted at the leadership level, to people who can initiate processes to train delivery executives to handle returns properly. How can I reach out to them?

One of the delivery agent told me that they are not paid like they are used to for the items, due to which many of them do not deliver to the customer, if the address is far from their center they just mark it as customer rejected. Not sure what is wrong with the Amazon leadership team

Same with me, I also want to ask amazon why we get return in such a bad condition.
I also send my item in 3-5ply box and get return in courier bag lying nudely without caring about scratches or damage, and yes most of the time they even apply tape so badly that our product stick with it, and become unsaleable.
Moreover why amazon not offer open box Delivery like flipkart offering to his customers, so that return reasons like damaged, different item, missing parts etc could be minimize at least.

this is an ongoing fraud happening in amazon, root cause is they are not applying any secondary package while shipping the material to customers and just shipping in the brand boxes by affixing shipping labels and bills on the same. When customer rejects such items, further reverse shipping labels are sticked on the new brand box, by the time it reaches FC, the original brand box gets all damaged and taped and labeled as unsellable by fc team.
They charge us for packing but are not applying packing on our branded material, no protection and all tapes and labels are stuck on the original brand box itself!
