Citi Credit Card Says They Are no Longer Authorize Amazon Seller Charges
Just opened an Amazon sellers account for the first time and added by citi credit card. I kept getting an email from Amazon saying $39.99 charge to this credit card is being denied. Called Citi twice and customer service said all was fine and transactions should go through. But I kept receiving notices from Amazon that they'd tried and failed to charge my credit card. The third time I called Citi (today) they informed me that Citi has made the decision to no longer authorize transactions from Amazon Seller accounts!
I can still use the credit card for regular retail purchases on teh Amazon app, but not for Amazon seller accounts appaently. Just posting this in hopes it saves someone else the headache I've had over the last couple of weeks.

Having the same issue of receiving that Amazon email denying the Pro Merchant Sub charge. I called my citi as well, and they said they initially blocked Amazon for security purposes, but after verification all should be OK now, yet still asking me to settle my account. I opened a ticket and waiting for their response.

interesting.,..I wonder what caused it? Amazon suspending accounts and sellers disputing charges? I've heard if your account is deactivated and Amazon has charged you the monthly fee, they don't refund that charge. Not sure if it's true...

I'm guessing it's a personal Citibank credit card, not a Citi for Business card? Most banks don't care most of the time, but every once in a while, a bank will get a bug up their butt that there can be no business transactions on a personal card.
Years ago, Capital One canceled my account and black listed me for life. They refused to give me a reason, but I'm certain it was because I put business charges on their personal credit card.
As I said, most don't care most of the time -- until they do.

I don't think is the $39.99 charge, I think is the verification amount, months back something similar happened to me. Amazon was charging three different amounts of less than two dollars to my account at the same time. I mean, the same day at the same time. Charges were made for Amazon Mexico, Canada, and the USA It doesn't matter if you sell or not in the other two countries, they still checked it. This caused my card to block any other Amazon transaction and blocked the last charge. We never see these charges reflected. They are just for verification. I called the credit card company and explained to them what was happening and that this was normal. After that, I no longer had any problems. BTW figuring that out took me all day!

I think there is more to the story. Our Citi card has a 100k limit and we have never been denied a charge. We have charged cars, trucks, heavy industrial machinery, and travel around the world with no problem. We do pay it off every month and use it mainly to accumulate airline miles, which pays for trips around the world sourcing product.

I am having same issue with the Citibank cards. But I trird to put a Wells Fargo Visa and same issue. Does someone have a simple fix or a script I can read when talking with credit card bank representative to explain the situation?
Amazon help personnel are no help in this matter.
Thanks
