The old business partner and friend Amazon
Amazon did what most marketplaces do. They worked hard to build the foundation by begging small business to come on board and dedicate one on one support that helped setup account and answer questions. They opened their doors and were available to chat and help whenever you needed it because they needed you, the marketplace seller. Then, one day Amazon looked around and realized t̶h̶e̶ ̶3̶r̶d̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶t̶y̶ ̶s̶e̶l̶l̶e̶r̶s̶ Amazon had a built mulitple giant mansions on multiple foundations having found unbreakable success. Of course after stealing countless product connections and ideas from thier own sellers and starting thier own private labels, which even to this day they somehow got away with. Not to mention the notorious, lost FBA inbound shipments that Amazon turns around and sells themselves on or off site.
Knock knock!
Amazon: Who is it?
Seller: Hi, it's me, the seller you asked to come on board back in 2014 and were there to setup the account and answer any questions we had. Can I come in and we can talk?
Amazon: Sorry, who are you again?
Seller: I'm ________ I've done $_______ sales on your site.
Amazon: We're busy at the moment and don't know you, please leave.
Seller: I've been here for years though and you no longer answer the door. I need help?!?!
Amazon: Please use our automated service.
Seller: Okay, I tried that. I can't seem to find help and I'm frustrated.
Amazon: Please use our automated service.
Seller: Hello?
Amazon: Please use our automated service.
Seller: I still need help. I'm really stressed, please help me.
Amazon: Please use our automated service.
Seller: Ohh boy, is that chest pain.
Amazon: Your account has been suspended. $______ funds are being held. (Automated service)
Seller: errrrr....ahhhh...errrrr.... *Silence
Amazon...
The breakaway corporation, using small American business to get there and then treating those very same small American business like peasants. Letting in the foreign small business to do the same too, acquiring more and more connections to make more private label Amazon brands. Giving them less and less, taking more and more.
The new catch phrase should be, "Welcome to the Amazon 3rd Party Nightmare". Hope y'all like scary rides! Cause you're in for the ride of your life with the possibility of turning a little profit, maybe...definitely a stressful suspension at some point, guaranteed!
Even this forum is now as bad as support with category to choose! Doesn't fit there or there! I'll just do Eeny, meeny, miny, moe

They engage in gaslighting and Stockholm Syndrome.

I got product policy violations for Amazon's product description on Amazon's listing that they got directly from the manufacturer., which they are also selling. "We screwed up and YOU'RE gonna pay!"
Walmart just added Walmart Business to take a crack at that Amazon segment. Seems like every day some other site is spinning up a Mirakl site to build out their own multi-vendor marketplace. At some point Amazon is going to realize what's happening and come to us 3rd party sellers again for aid.
When that happens I think i now know what my response will be, as well as the response to all the products and services they keep trying to sell us.

The last count I can find is 119 brands owned ll with USTPO Registrations. Amazon likes to make money in more ways that the seller fees.
Amazon also uses a little trick with USTPO. If you want to create a brand name with meaning, like a name buyers can relate to, It can take up to 3 years or more to get the final documentation. If you create a brand with no meaning, just a string of letters, it can get the final approval in just a month, and no one knows who you are. And with the ability to display your product first, you are all set for success.

Many of us who have been selling online since the late 1990s had a lot of the same issues with e..Y; they ignored and abused the sellers who made them wildly wealthy. AZ came along and many sellers moved here because they had been treated poorly over the years. E..Y stock price crashed and it took over a decade for that company to recover. History repeating due to corporate hubris.

Amazon will eventually be looked back upon as the Kmart of the early internet age.

Well, you have done all the market research for them for free and they no longer need you oldtime sellers anymore. What they want are NEW sellers with NEW products that they can eventually steal away and send those sellers packing.

I'm in the same boat, the advertising issue is also killing me, i can't get a click unless I pay for ads, and some knockoff, with exaggerated specs from china seems to be getting placed highly bc of ads while my listing is getting killed.
Time to close amazon, eventually it will be nothin but junk on this site, unless you are a well established brand.

yes, yes and yes. Almost made me cry. I wake up every morning thinking it is just a bad dream, and then I have at it another day, afraid of the next incoming bomb.
