Do you need multiple trademark classes registered to use a trademarked company name while selling in multiple categories?
This is regarding brand registry - I would have posted this in handmade, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity there.
I've read the getting started guides for brand registry, and am still confused.
Let's say I register a uspto trademark(wordmark) for my company name (my-brand) for a paper drink coaster with my artwork on it in uspto class 16(paper goods) and then register it in Amazon Brand Registry, and add a product to the appropriate category under Amazon Handmade...
Now what if I want to start selling hand printed t-shirts on Amazon handmade... Am I really going to have to additionally re-register the same trademark (my-brand) with uspto under class 25(clothing), and on and on for every category of item I want to sell?

Hello @Seller_8nWbS5ocn6wNj
My name is Sandy from the Community Manager team here on forums.
Thank you for this question.
To answer your question, you do not have to go through the same application process again assuming your new product has the same brand name. You can do this by connecting another trademark to your existing trademark.
However, with the USPTO you have to make sure the goods and services matches with what you are selling.
For example, if you file with Brand Registry to sell paper drink coasters under brand name A, but you also want to sell t-shirts, you have to file another trademark with the same brand name but the goods reflect T-shirts.
I hope this answers your question!
Best,
Sandy
