Transparency Code

Hello from Amazon Seller Services,
The products listed below have been enrolled in the Transparency program by the brand owner. This means that the product is manufactured with a serial number. The serial number can be either a 2D Transparency branded barcode (these are 26 characters long and include a "T" logo) or a 1D or 2D serial number barcode (these are between 7 and 20 characters long and may include the pre-fix "SN").
To ensure product authenticity for your customers, we will require that these products have a Transparency barcode or serial number barcode affixed to the outer packaging of each individual unit of the product in order to be accepted by Amazon.
Below is the list of ASINs that will require a Transparency barcode or serial number barcode from the manufacturer or brand.

Amazon scans these barcode labels to verify the authenticity of the products. Your customers also can scan your Transparency barcode with the Transparency mobile app to confirm the item is not a counterfeit.
Please contact the respective Brand or your distributor on any further information on the availability of the products with these barcodes.
(a) If units on the list are fulfilled through Amazon fulfillment center and are without a valid Transparency barcode or serial number barcode , they cannot be sold and will be marked as "unfulfillable" in Seller Central. You can submit a removal order to have these units returned to you or have Amazon dispose them on your behalf.
(b) If you will be fulfilling customer orders for Transparency-enabled products, you must upload Transparency codes or serial number barcodes for these products using tools in Seller Central.

How do you know the supplier is legit?
If the supplier was legit the items would have transparency codes affixed ... or they will have a mechanism for accepting returns.
From Amazon's POV, items without Transparency codes from this brand are not authentic (counterfeit), were manufactured before the brand enrolled in the Transparency program, or have some other issue which resulted in transparency codes being removed ... or never applied in the first place.
