If your order are not in large scale and want to invest small short of amount then go for normal printer
But if you are concern for the paper wastage and good quality printer then you should go for Thermal
No Currently it is not mandatory but yes all the labels must be print on stickers only

Just buy a normal Ink Tank printer that will do for you. No need to invest big amount in the beginning.
You should go for thermal printer only if you are getting 100+ orders everyday.
It will suffice your requirement for all marketplaces.
