Amazon FEES
I'm a new seller here. The Inbound placement fees, referral fees and manual processing fees make it impossible to make a profit. Are these fees manageable? able to reduce? How are any sellers making profits with all these fees?

Estimates are that up to 1/3 of ALL sellers on Amazon are losing money.
I do NOT do FBA so that I have control of all my costs on everything. If a seller does do FBA they are at the mercy of whatever changes Amazon wants to make once you turn stuff over.
There is a cost to 'convenience' including the loss of all of the money and all of the products if they suddenly decide that you do not have an LOA or sourced improperly.
Did you even try selling FBM to see if there is even any demand for the products you are selling BEFORE you jumped in the river?

I agree completely. Literally I think I LOSE money if any of my items actually sell on Amazon at current prices. Already very little meat on the bone trying to do pod with everyone's hand in the same cookie jar. By the time the little guys get in there its just crumbs left. Tough to have to price my items 2-4 times higher just to try and make a buck since then no one will buy them at those prices. From most of what I've seen, unless you're getting your items super cheap directly, then the random fees from all of these helpful platforms and providers just drain any equity available and they seem to get the bulk of sales revenue plus all the add ons and memberships etc they charge you no matter the efforts. It's a good racket

Ridiculous....I have hood supports for a Jetta that sell for under $20 each (sold as singles because the car only uses one). Amazon charges over $12 in fees because the item is over 15" long (although is a skinny rod) and with the placement fees it's another $3 each to send them. Better off tossing them all in a dumpster than I am sending them to FBA
